Tom Colicchio

Retaining Tom Colicchio as Voysey's Consulting Chef was nothing short of a coup for The Kiawah Island Club. Prior to opening Gramercy Tavern and Craft, Colicchio's extensive culinary experience included stints at such notable Manhattan venues as The Quilted Giraffe, Gotham Bar & Grill, Rakel, and Mondrian.

Colicchio is known for his inventive and bold American cuisine and was recently inducted into the Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America. Over the years, he has received much praise throughout the industry, most notably by the James Beard Foundation. The Foundation has awarded Colicchio with Best Chef: New York City for 2000; Best Cookbook for Think Like a Chef in 2001; the Outstanding Service Award for Gramercy Tavern in 2001, and Best New Restaurant for Craft in 2001.
