 Welcome to GoKiawah!
imgThe April 1 launch of the Club’s new lifestyle program, GoKiawah, has sparked interest in many Club Members who want more out of Island life.

After months of planning, the GoKiawah team personally introduced the programming concept to the Membership at Friday’s Member Mingle. GoKiawah Director Kevin LaFountain shares that they “got a lot of great feedback on Friday night.
Change in Tee Times for Cassique and the River Course
Beginning, Monday, March 17, the Club will have both golf courses open seven days a week through Memorial Day. On Mondays, the River Course will have tee times available until 10:30 a.m. and Cassique will have tee times available until 10:35 a.m. on Tuesdays. This schedule will resume in October.
 The River Course Golf Course
It is my hope that this letter finds each of you well. The Kiawah Island Club has developed a program to address the turf issues impacting the River Course fairways and regret that the current course conditions do not meet the standards you have come to expect from The Club.

Based on recommendations from turf experts dating back to 2006 and with Tom Fazio’s approval, The Club installed what was considered at that time, a state-of-the-art Bermuda grass called Emerald Dwarf on all 18 fairways. After this unseasonably long and cold winter, it became apparent this grass cannot tolerate cold temperatures. While we are confident that with warmer temperatures the fairways will improve, The Club has determined it needs to take significant measures to try to resolve this issue going forward.
 Spring Member Member Results!
imgCongratulations to the winners of the 2014 Women's and Men's Spring Member Member tournaments! Dana Goyak and Katherine Brooks took the Overall Champions title for the women and Ken Knechtel and Avie Wheeler became the men's Overall Champions.

 GoKiawah Social Circles
Kicking off the initiative are the Social Circles that began this week. Although some may not consider a running or paddling group to be social, that is exactly the purpose. Lifestyle and Activities Manager Jordan Davis says “our intention is to connect Members with like interests and create an opportunity for Resident and Non-Resident Members to join these circles when on-Island. Creating consistent, no-pressure gatherings will make it easier for Members to feel that they truly have a place within the Club community.”
